Mike Cartee has been an attorney since 1979. Mike graduated from the University of Alabama in 1989 and Cumberland School of Law in 1979. Mike represented the people of the State of Alabama as an Assistant District Attorney for the Bessemer Division of Jefferson County, Alabama from 1979 to 1982. He began his private law practice in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1983. Mike is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the Northern District, United States District Court for the Middle District Northern, United States District Court for the Southern District, The United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, The Alabama Supreme Court and all of the circuits in the State of Alabama. He has also appeared in other state courts and federal courts on a pro hac basis.

Mike has been a member of the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar Association, the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association.
